It All Started with Turbo
A tiny life that needed saving
Turbo was never supposed to make it out of that Texas shelter.
She and her brother were born with special needs, conditions that often mean an automatic death sentence in overcrowded shelters where resources are stretched too thin.
But a shelter worker saw their worth and reached out for help from a rescue in Kansas.
And when I was asked if I could foster them… I said yes.
I had no idea what I was doing. The first few weeks were filled with uncertainty, trial and error, and learning on the fly. But little by little, we figured it out together. Nitro went on to be adopted by someone amazing. And Turbo? She stayed with us.
She became part of our family and the inspiration for everything that followed and became Still Worth Saving.
Still Worth Saving was created because of her.
Because every cat like Turbo deserves a chance.
And because sometimes, all it takes is someone willing to say yes.
